Private Label Aerosol Packaging & Artwork Guide

Packaging decisions for a private label aerosol project should be reviewed together with the product, valve, actuator, filling process and destination market. Starting with artwork alone can create avoidable changes later. This guide helps brand owners and importers prepare the packaging information a manufacturer needs to review the project.

Confirm the product and pack presentation

Begin with the product direction, application, target market and intended customer. Record the expected aerosol format, fill size and use context. The package should present the selected product accurately; do not finalize graphics before the product direction, packaging combination and documentation scope are clear.

Separate component planning from artwork

The can, valve and actuator selection guide covers the technical component questions. Record which can, valve, actuator, cap and fill-format decisions are already fixed and which require sample or compatibility review. Keep component selection separate from brand artwork so one does not silently become a specification for the other.

Prepare artwork and label inputs

Provide the brand name, product name, product direction, language versions, visual references and the intended pack hierarchy. Identify whether the artwork is a label, pre-printed can, carton or another packaging element. Supply editable artwork files where available and mark the current revision clearly. The manufacturer should review artwork against the confirmed product and packaging configuration before approval.

Check pack information for the target market

Label and carton information depends on the product, formulation, transport route and destination market. Ask which information and documents are applicable to the selected project. Keep market-specific legal or regulatory wording with the responsible buyer and relevant documentation; do not assume a generic checklist replaces the requirements for a particular market.

Review carton and export-packaging inputs

Record the outer carton, pack-out, artwork, marks and shipping-document questions that apply to the project. Confirm how finished products, packaging materials and documentation will be matched before production. The Aerosol Manufacturing page explains filling, propellant charging, packaging and production as connected steps.

Use a sample and approval workflow

Review the product sample and packaging combination together. Record the sample version, can/valve/actuator combination, artwork revision, open questions and approval status. Changes after approval should be identified explicitly so the product brief, artwork and production information remain aligned.

Prepare the private-label project brief

The Private Label Aerosol Project Checklist helps organize product, sample, production, quality-control and documentation inputs. The OEM / ODM / Private Label page covers the service workflow. Use both resources together: one prepares the buyer brief and the other explains the commercial program.

Packaging and artwork checklist

  • Product direction, application and target market.
  • Can, valve, actuator, cap and fill-format inputs.
  • Brand, product name, language and visual references.
  • Artwork file type, revision and pack component.
  • Label/carton information to confirm for the destination market.
  • Outer carton, pack-out and export-packaging questions.
  • Sample version, compatibility review and approval record.
  • Product, packaging and documentation changes after approval.
  • RFQ information and requested next step.

Send the completed packaging inputs through RustGo’s Request a Quote path. Final packaging, artwork and documentation decisions should be confirmed against the selected product, formulation, components and destination market.
